IPSSC Bodyguard Medic – Immediate Life Support & Trauma Management

Duration: 5 Days (Approx. 40 Hours)

This course teaches students the basics of field expedient medicine in tactical situations.  IT IS NOT A civilian authority recognized course of first aid practices and is for information only.

Persons attending this course will receive an IPSSC course attendance certificate which is applicable as a ‘training hours credit’ toward the CPSS (Certified Protective Security Specialist) program but IS NOT either a State or Nationally recognized First Aid Practitioners certification.

In other words, as a graduate of this course, you are not authorized or permitted to use the techniques demonstrated in any attempt to provide aid to a civilian involved in any accident or other medical emergency.

This course is designed for those who seek employment as Protective Security Specialists in hostile or non-permissive environments where immediate life support may not be readily available and the life of the client or team member may depend on less convention medicine in order to prevail.

Techniques featured in this course are focused on ballistic and blast type injuries and other injuries typically resulting from exposure to hostile activity in war zones and other non-permissive environments.
